It’s so exciting to be living in the new house! It’s great to not be running into the walls/doors (most of the time).
I had a housewarming party last Sunday and I have had so much fun decorating and organizing with all of the things people got me! Since we have started building the house, I have enjoyed sharing about the process. I have loved hearing from you and getting your opinions- like what color to paint the exterior!
As a thank you for following along the journey, I just couldn’t wait until the house was finished so that we could have a big party and everyone could come and see it… Unfortunately the Coronavirus ruined my high hopes!
We were close to being finished with the house when the Coronavirus started but I just figured it would be over by the time we were ready for any visitors.
Since it STILL isn’t over, I had decided to wait to have the party because I wanted everyone to be able to come in and see it. But, really, who knows when that will be?!
Thankfully, I’m blessed with amazing friends! Lauren and Lisa planned a housewarming party for me and just changed the rules a little bit!
I was pretty disappointed that we couldn’t have a traditional one, but the disappointment didn’t last long. I’m so grateful my friends made the best of the situation for me by planning a Drive By Party! It ended up being such a fun day!
Thanks again to everyone who came and for each wonderful gift I received! I linked all the things from Amazon on my Amazon Shop page!
I thought the least I could do is post pictures of the house on here since you have all been following along! We actually have a little bit to do (mostly just decorations, landscaping, and just finding a place to put things) so I plan to share a video when it’s all said and done! I think it will be really cool!
I can’t pick my favorite place in the whole house… There are just too many! I really like fireplace and I can’t wait to decorate the mantle for each holiday! I also like the kitchen island because I can easily roll up to it and eat or work on my laptop. Oh and I love all the shiplap in the kitchen! I asked dad what his favorite part was and he first told me it was the kitchen, but then he continued to list about four more ‟favorites.” So, he obviously has the same problem!
Leave a comment to tell me your favorite part(s)!
I can’t wait to invite you all over just as soon as the Coronavirus ends!!!

Fantastic. I can imagine the time and effort involved in every phase of this process. It is absolutely lovely. You have already made this a home. Blessings. See you in September with your Barn Quilt. Kelli
I love your shower!!! Wow! Everything turned out beautifully!
