For Christmas, 2 years ago, my brother, Joey, gave me my GlassOuse assistive glasses!
GlassOuse glasses are designed to help people who cannot use technology due to limited abilities and give them more control of their computers.
GlassOuse is a special mouse created alternatively for those who have trouble using their gadgets with any other input devices. They are designed to control the cursor with slight head movements while allowing the user to click by using a variety of compatible switch options based on the desired usage. This greater customization allows different patient groups to use the device effectively.
Bite Switch – As in the first version of GlassOuse, renowned Bite Switch became more durable and stable. Having been tested 100.000 times under 3 tons of pressure, the switch button mechanism is designed to be as long-lasting for daily use. Its flexible cable allows users to adjust the switch position according to their use and a certified non-carcinogenic waterproof silicone cover protects the switch part.
Puff Switch – A new technology to its kind. Unlike the usual sip-and-puff systems, G-Switch Series’ Puff Switch has an electronic system allowing the users to do clicking actions via simple puffs. Working with a coin size battery, the built-in microphone of Puff Switch has a blow trigger converting the frequencies derived from puffing action into signals automatically to do the clicks. The switch’s smart battery system turns the device off every 3 hours if it is not used and battery replacement is as easy as changing your remote controls’ batteries.
Finger Switch – It comes with a highly sensitive switch button that can be mounted on a touch fastener strap or any kind of fabric surface with its sticky bottom and allow its users to do clicking action with any part of their body. With its long cable, Finger Switch can be used in different positions – with your finger, with your arm and even with your head. Simply wrap the touch fastener strap around and stick it onto it. Pretty simple.
Foot Switch – This switch is made of durable materials with non-skid bottom preventing slips during use. With its lightweight long cable, Foot Switch performs clicking actions via presses by foot and the adjusted spring inside allows users to rest their foot when they don’t want to click — preventing unwanted excessive clicks in short.
Press Switch 100gr – A comfortable switch option for the users who need a lighter activation force to perform clicks. Offers an auditory click and tactile feedback to inform the user that the switch has been pressed.
Press Switch 150gr – Sister item of Press Switch 100gr, Press Switch 150gr is a standard option with its 8.63cm activation surface, making the item comfortable enough for both user groups needing either a large or a small target area to interact.
Pillow Switch – A durable switch option covered with soft cushion for users with less physical control. Can be used via pressing the cheek, chin or head and touch fastener straps and its attached safety pin on fabric surfaces or with different mounting systems.
Since I didn’t have much movement when I first got them, I use the Bite Switch.
At first, I didn’t have much use for the glasses, I would never have imagined how much I would end up using them for! They made it possible to do so much on my own. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to have my card business, take classes, write my blog, and so much more!
GlassOuse has been used by thousands of people to connect technology in homes, schools, rehab centers, hospitals and support communities. Worn as regular glasses, GlassOuse helped many with its easy-for-daily-use while operating computers, phones, tablets and Smart TVs. In this era of touch to communicate, GlassOuse continues its journey to meet the needs of a wide variety of people having difficulty to connect the world.
A sneak peek of my new birthday cards! ?- Stay tuned!!!
